The owner of Capital Landscaping is Phil Glaser. Phil began his landscaping career at age 16 while a student at Dowling Catholic High School when he began working at Des Moines Seed & Nursery. After serving over seas in the Army Phil moved back to Des Moines in the spring of 1996 and joined the family lawn care business. After one year with the encouragement of his family he started what is now Capital Landscaping. Phil is a proud member of the National Snow and Ice Management Association, The National Concrete Masonry Association and the Iowa Nursery Association. Phil has consulted both locally and nationally with companies regarding snow and ice management and is involved with local sports groups regarding their turf management needs.
The landscape designer for Capital Landscaping is Monica Pauk. Monica grew up in Iowa and has been involved in gardening of all types for many years. She has degrees in Commercial Horticulture and Photography. Monica has worked as a professional floral designer, a professional gardener and as a stained glass artist.
Monica will meet you at your home to assess your landscaping needs. She will design a custom landscape for you to meet the needs of you and your family. Whether you have ideas in mind or need some help creating an overall plan she can help you turn your outdoor space into everything you dreamed of.
Marshall Neal is our turf/lawn care specialist. Marshall has been the mowing crew leader for the past year and is licensed by the State of Iowa for fertilization application. Marshall will meet with you to determine your lawn care needs and suggest a fertilization program. Marshall and his crew mow and fertilize both residential and commercial properties here in the metro area.
